Team Green ThinkerZ was invited for Seminar on the topic "Sustainable Mobile Usage" in CGC Landran. Er. Tanvir Singh (President), Naveenjyot Kaur (Ex Vice-President), Guneet Kaur (Ex Press Secretary) and Devinder Singh (Advisor) were present. During lecture students were addressed, how mobile radiations are harmful for them, radiations demo of different mobile phones were performed and also students were encouraged to work on Green projects in future.Spirit of research was encouraged and fostered in the minds of young minds.
Team Visits
Volunteers of Green ThinkerZ Society celebrated the festival of "Baisakhi" with resident children of Guru Asra Trust, Phase - 7, Mohali; under the flagship of their social sustainability programme which is one of the core Principle of the philosophy of the society. The members of the society participated in the assortment of events viz Shabad Keertan, Gatka, Gura ka Langar, Cake Cutting Ceremony. They also organized Drawing competition and Poem competition. The resident children of the trust also participated actively and enthusiastically in all the events. The day long events have been focussed to inculcate the value education among the youth. The contribution and participation of the children of the trust were encouraged through prizes sponsored by the Green ThinkerZ Society. The "Baisakhi" celebration have been a wonderful experience and a two way learning process for both organizations on a single platform. The similar events would be organized in the near future too to spread the philosophy of society among the masses.
Team of Green ThinkerZ Invited for Faculty Development Program at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, Punjab (India). Tanvir Singh (President, Green ThinkerZ) was the Speaker to deliver a Seminar on Sustainable Mobile Usage including all fundamentals associated with it.The procedures and ongoing tools that will help the faculty to increase their knowledge in this field. It also help the teaching staff in development of ECO-FRIENDLY procedures. The topic is helpful for DOCTORAL THESIS and it will help them to build the interest in this field.
Seminar on "Gadget Addiction" at Shivalik Public School Mohali was organized. Er. Tanvir Singh (President, Green ThinkerZ) and Ms. Harleen Kaur was the Keynote speaker on the above said topic. Students from all the classes took part in the seminar. The prime objective of the seminar was to aware the students about their addiction to electronic gadgets mainly cellphones, which may prove to be a cause of serious ailments in the future. Facts and figures along with contemporary research were shared with the students related to the domain.
Er. Tanvir Singh (President - Green ThinkerZ) Invited as a "Resource Person" in 7 Days NSS Camp at Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Chandigarh. Delivered a lecture on "Mobile Addiction and Its Sustainable Usage". Apart from "Lecture", Radiation Demonstration was performed with Electrosmog Meter so as to check radiation level from different mobile phones.Also, Questionnaire was conducted in the end to check the exposure of students to electromagnetic radiations.We thank the management and NSS Volunteers to make it a grand success.
Green ThinkerZ celebrated 21st of Feb with great enthusiasm. As we believe he that plant a tree loves others beside himself. We celebrated birthday of Mr. Tanvir Singh (President-Green ThinkerZ) by conducting a mass plantation drive at Prabh Aasra. All members planted trees and we urge all to start a new custom of plantation on birthdays. We should think about our future generation. Lets make our world greener place. And it is also very important to look after what we plant.
As part of series of mass plantation drives, Green ThinkerZ celebrated Van Mahotsav in association with CDAC Mohali and planted saplings. The overall objective of celebrating the 'Van Mahotsav' is to sensitise masses, and generate awareness on the values of plants and nature so as to make our surroundings more clean and green.
October 1 marks the International day of older persons or the World Elderly Day. It is a special day for older persons or senior citizens all over the world. Some radios, televisions or newspapers publish interviews with senior citizens on various issues such as achievements they made to create a better society. Initiatives of the society towards the elderly seems to be totally missing. Green ThinkerZ celebrated World Elderly Day at Mata Kheevi Birdh Ashram, Patiala and received their love, blessings.

Tanvir Singh and Mr. Amit Kumar Invited to address the young audience for “Green Jobs, Inspiring stories and Entrepreneurship”, in Catalysts Workshop at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Chandigarh in association with Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN), Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany and giz.
An International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research for Sustainable Development (IRSD 2016) at NITTTR Chandigarh on 1 st and 2 nd December 2016, have been organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NITTTR Chandigarh and Green ThinkerZ Society in association with Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay. The conference was technically sponsored by International Institute of Organized Research (I2OR), India and the conference proceedings have been published as a special issue of International Journal of Research in Electronics and Computer Engineering (IJRECE) and The Research Journal (TRJ) which are highly indexed with ONLINE as well as PRINT ISSN. The Conference has the core theme of Sustainable Development through Interdisciplinary Research with a Special Track on Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) powered by Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay. A Galaxy of Academicians from different research domain were present for a reviving and thought-provoking power-packed day at NITTTR Chandigarh, India. The wide range of topics were covered during the conference which were beneficial to both industry and academia.

It is a great pride that to spread the environment awareness Green ThinkerZ decided to take all the members for a nature walk in the wilderness of Sukhna Lake i.e the Sukhna Wild life sanctuary to apprise about the natural environment linked with wide life. Along the route while enjoying the serenity beauty members found a lively Flora and Fauna.
Bhagat Puran Singh is the one who established the well known Pingalwara of Amritsar. Born on June 4 – 1904 in Punjab, Bhai Puran Singh was Hindu by birth with name Ramjidas. Later in the life he chose to become a Sikh. Although he never finished his basic schooling, he emerged as a great writer as well as an environmentalist and a philanthropist. He was honoured with Padma Shri award in 1979, which he returned after the Indian army’s attack on the Golden Temple in 1984.Bhai Puran Singh died on August 5, 1992 in Amritsar. He is best remembered for Pingalwara he established for the sick, disabled and abandoned forlorn people.
Green ThinkerZ presented a Play "Nature Talk" on the occasion of Van Mahotsav at CDAC Mohali
On 27th Jan 2015, the Green ThinkerZ Society officially launched its project called "Girl Child Empowerment" which is an endeavor to help the needy girl students in order to make them self dependent. In relevance to the same the volunteers of Green ThinkerZ visited the Government Industrial Training Institute for Women situated in Radiala, Kharar, Punjab. The Team of Green ThinkerZ Society distributed the much needed stationery items among the girl students as per requirement and recommendation received from the Institute Administration.
Members of Green ThinkerZ distributed stationary items to Anganwari Children in Sector-33. The school is started by Deepak Builders as a special training center for the children of the labourers working there. There are 40 children studying in that school.

Green ThinkerZ in association with Support A Child and Bhumi organized awareness program at SGGS College, Chandigarh on different themes viz. Environmental Sustainability, Education to underprivileged students and Girl Child Empowerment. Students performed various activities in the form of play and songs. Er. Tanvir Singh, President Green ThinkerZ discussed the philosphy of Green ThinkerZ that how they are working to promote Environmental and Social Sustainability. Mr. Rajmaninder Singh, Volunteer from Bhumi showed the need of education in slum areas to underprivileged students. Their main motive is to facilitate education to the same. The whole seminar was concluded by Mr. JS Diwan from Support A Child. He stressed on to save and educate the girl child.

Tanvir Singh (President) addressed how mobile radiations are harmful for them, radiations demo of different mobile phones were performed and also people at Sun Pharma were encouraged to work on Green projects in future.
Seminar on "Gadget Addiction" at Bhaddal Institutes, Ropar, Punjab, India was organized on 16th April 2014. Er. Tanvir Singh, President, Green ThinkerZ was the Keynote speaker on the above said topic. Students from different departments of Engineering Section took part in the seminar. The prime objective of the seminar was to aware the students about their addiction to electronic gadgets mainly cellphones, which may prove to be a cause of serious ailments in the future. Facts and figures along with contemporary research were shared with the students related to the domain. The Seminar was an eye opener for most of the students and faculty members of Bhaddal Institutes in terms of unknown facts and data set, shared by Er. Tanvir Singh pertaining to the sensitive issue. Green ThinkerZ philosophy was very well received by the technocrats during the seminar.

Birds also use water for bathing, to clean their feathers and remove parasites. A dependable supply of fresh, clean water is attractive to most birds. Providing water for birds can also improve the quality of your backyard bird habitat and should provide you with a fantastic opportunity to observe bird behavior. Team Green ThinkerZ keep water for birds every summer.
Green ThinkerZ organized a workshop on Waste Management at Chandigarh on 4th August 2014. Children were taught about the waste management so that they can convert their domestic waste into some useful/decorative things. The Concept was discussed by giving them example projects using laptop so that they can implement their ideas.
Team Green ThinkerZ together made 1000 Sandwiches under the initiative of Daan Utsav in association with iVolunteer Mumbai and then distributed at PGIMER Chandigarh to needy people came for treatment

Team of Green ThinkerZ celebrated Valentine's Day in its own way by planting Roses at Pingalwara, Palsora Branch, Chandigarh on 14th February 2015. Team interacted with inmates of Pingalwara. Inmates themselves were involved through whole plantation drive and they have been told to take care the plants as their children. The day was celebrated with full enthusiasm by not giving plucked roses as gifts rather they planted the roses which was the very good message earlier given by Bhagat Pooran Singh Ji, Founder Pingalwara. Caretaker of Palsora Branch shared selfless deeds of Bhagat Pooran Singh Ji. Message from the Team of Green ThinkerZ is "Be Green, Think Green".
Team felt strong need of Langar at PGIMER Chandigarh for the people who came with their near and dear ones for treatment and staying there on roadsides in cold nights of January. So, Team organized Langar at PGIMER on 1st January 2017
Green ThinkerZ Society has launched a serving campaign for road siders on 15th Jan 2015. The main purpose of this campaign was to facilitate the needy ones.Volunteers started their campaign by covering few areas of Patiala city. According to Green ThinkerZ Philosophy,"Success is the sum of small efforts". Volunteers resoundingly conquer with above said of The President. Society is looking forward to carry out this social practice as an ongoing process.Woolens were distributed among the road siders and slum-residers. People discussed their routine problems like education of their children,sanitary facilities and non-availability of drinking water which are already sanctioned by the municipal but not yet implemented.Volunteers being social entrepreneurs also suggested various self employing techniques to the people. Green ThinkerZ will definitely carry on their awareness drives because interaction with people bring two major things-food for the mind and the light for understanding things better.
Technical wing - Projects
GreenThinkerZ Society and Punjab Up Films organized a week long Donation Camp for the Flood Victims in Jammu & Kashmir at Bittu Dhaba, Phase-7, Mohali in which people donated cash as well as packed food, clothes, medicines in large amount. The camp started on 16.09.2014 and has been successful to kindle the humanity quotient in the society at large in order the help the sufferers in J&K. The Material / Cash collected was sent to J&K by air where volunteers from Sikh Relief, United Sikhs worked day and night to render selfless service to distribute the relief material to the victims in J & K. The camp was highly successful and provided a perfect platform for the noble souls in the society who wanted to help the sufferers. The GreenThinkerZ Society and Punjab Up Films thank all the people who contributed or will contribute for the noble cause.

A campaign at sukhna lake was organised by Green ThinkerZ In lieu of international girl child day. Members from different cities joined. People were urged to love butterflies which blossom our world. In sequence for your protest against drugs and save girl child we have made an attempt to move it on into the society. Green Thinkerz presented a play nature talk. Then boliyaan..then kavitavaan to seek everyone's sub conscious for this cause. Slogans were raised out loud with great enthusiasm and poems were recited describing the achievements of the women in the society.Members also connected with the people with energetic boliyan.
1st Annual Convention of Green ThinkerZ Society was organised at CDAC,Mohali premises which imparted the valuable knowledge in the field of sustainable research. Program was inaugurated by Dr.D.K.Jain, Director CDAC with his auspicious motivational remarks. Guest speaker Dr.S.S.Khurmi delivered a beneficial talk on Green Computing and urged the students to adopt green softwares. Further Dr.Amit kumar, Guest of honor, from NVS emphasized on inculcating green and sustainable approaches in research as well as day today life by adopting renewable energy sources and reducing carbon footprints. His words embibed the students with a vision to explore the environmental sustainability dimension in their research. Finally, Er.Tanvir Singh, President Green thinkerZ Society, delivered a talk on sustainable mobile usage and also experimently demonstrated the SAR of mobile gadgets with an electro smog meter. He has been a great pioneer in the field of Green research.
As a part of Green and Sustainable drive, Thakur College of Engineering and Technology, Mumbai, invited Mr. Manpreet Singh (Chief Technical Executive, Green Thinkerz, India) for an expert lecture on Harmful Effects of Mobile and WiFi Radiation, the lecture provided important information based on surveys and researches in the field of Non-ionising Radiation, and concluded that; as per the international regulatory standards, India is far behind and this has been a cause of the increasing in the rate of diseases such as Stress, Fatigue, depression. Green ThinkerZ is currently working towards techniques and technology to develop a safer standard and sustainable environment for the use of technology, which are based on Radio frequency, further more they have also conducted numerous environmental drives and seminar in Schools and Universities, thus reaching the future generation and alerting them regarding the ill-effects of such Technology.
Workshop on “Sustainable Mobile Usage” at Govt. Sen. Sec. School, Harabag, District Mandi, Himachal Pardesh, India was organized on 11 August 2014. Er. Sakshi Sharma, Propaganda Secretary, Green ThinkerZ was the Resource Person for the above said workshop. 100+ school students took part in the workshop. The prime objective of the workshop was to aware the students about the effects of harmful mobile radiations so that they can use mobile phones in sustainable manner. Philosophy of Green ThinkerZ was very well received by the students during the workshop. They were encouraged by Er. Sakshi Sharma to clear their doubts regarding the mobile phone radiations and their rational usage to avoid long term side effects.
