1st Annual Convention of Green ThinkerZ Society was organised at CDAC,Mohali premises which imparted the valuable knowledge in the field of sustainable research. Program was inaugurated by Dr.D.K.Jain, Director CDAC with his auspicious motivational remarks.

Guest speaker Dr.S.S.Khurmi delivered a beneficial talk on Green Computing and urged the students to adopt green softwares. Further Dr.Amit kumar, Guest of honor, from NVS emphasized on inculcating green and sustainable approaches in research as well as day today life by adopting renewable energy sources and reducing carbon footprints. His words embibed the students with a vision to explore the environmental sustainability dimension in their research.

Finally, Er.Tanvir Singh, President Green thinkerZ Society, delivered a talk on sustainable mobile usage and also experimently demonstrated the SAR of mobile gadgets with an electro smog meter. He has been a great pioneer in the field of Green research. Momento and Certificates were distributed to acknowledge the active volunteers for their contribution to spread the message of social and environmental sustainability in the society at large. The presence of Dr.Balwinder Singh, member of organising committee, CDAC also enlightened the aura. An important announcement regarding the appointment of the vacant post of Vice President was made by Mr.Tanvir Singh to an active and deserving candidate Ms.Naveenjyot Kaur and thanked all for generous presence of the students. Summed up all with the quote-"Future will be green my friends or not at all". Mr. Dharminder Singh from Sikh Sewak organization, Australia also graced the occasion.
